This is the third Continental restaurant opened by Stephen Starr. Here Shawn Hausman and Stokes Architecture had the luxury of a blank slate to fashion a unique exterior and interior look for the Continental. The restaurant was modeled on the Googie-style mid-century coffee shops of Los Angeles. Continental’s uniqueness stems from its diversity. A total of 3 different bars, as well as a number of different seating areas all boast a unique archetype, which maintain a continuity constant with the Googie-style theme.
