Il Pittore
Philadelphia, PA
Fall 2011

Il Pittore is a unique Italian restaurant in midtown Philadelphia. The narrow two-story space contains a long dining counter and bar on the first floor, and an airy yet quaint dining room on the second floor. A former American bistro restaurant, the entire first floor was gutted during design, eliminating a large bar and leaving an open plan to redesign. A kitchen motif was decided on, using storage shelving and subway tile as key design elements to go along with a new counter and bar. The second floor added new lighting, including custom pipe fitting fixtures, and a new custom wine cabinet.
