Ocean Towers is a large 1970’s vintage two building condominium on the Wildwood beach that had fallen into disrepair over the years. Stokes Architecture helped the condominium association plan a multiphase 5 year renovation project which is expected to be completed in Spring 2007. All exterior surfaces were painted in a new color scheme. The large rooftop pool area and adjacent sundeck had developed numerous leaks over the years. The entire concrete deck and waterproofing were replaced, thus allowing the deck area to be redesigned with smaller scale areas for recreation; sunbathing, and barbequing. The pool itself was redesigned with a large spa, and a new children’s pool. Patterned and colored concrete form a curvilinear pattern visible from all the condominium units. New main entrances will feature a curved metal canopy, and new signage.
